BACKGROUND

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain analysis software, pipelines, web-portals, and algorithms for Single Cell Research.
• Design and implement software architectures for high performance computing for large genomic data.
• Perform basic and advanced analysis on data generated from next generation sequencing platforms. The analysis will include but not limited to sequence alignment, variant calling and annotation, RNA expression and differential analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

• M.S. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics or related fields.
• 8+ years working experience in software development for Bioinformatics and Statistical analysis.

• Extensive development experience in Unix/Linux, Perl, Python, R and MySQL.
• Extensive experience with NGS technologies, sequence analysis tools, and public biological databases.
• Good understanding statistics and bioinformatic algorithms.
• Experience in C++, object-oriented design and cloud-computing is strong plus.
• Highly self-motivated and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills, thorough and detail-orientated.
