    DESCRIPTION

    Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Research Fellow for Dr. Abryzov in the Health Science Department. Qualified candidates will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. The research fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary, one to three year position whose project choice will depend on the applicant's interest and skills but requires that the research be purely computational. Potential computational biology fields include: population/personal human omics, cancer omics, single cell and somatic omics, and the analysis of next-generation sequencing data

    The ideal applicant will have a Ph.D. in computational biology or bioinformatics combined with experience in one of the aforementioned research areas. He/She should also be skilled in programming and using computers to solve problems (e/g C/C++, Java, etc.).
