BACKGROUND
A three year postdoctoral position (Career Development Fellowship) is available in the area of bioinformatics and chemometrics in the Metabolomics Core in the Division of Physiology & Metabolism at NIMR in London. NIMR is one of the founding institutes of the new Francis Crick Institute. Opening in 2015 at St Pancras in central London, the Crick will have 1,250 researchers. Its goal will be to understand the basic biology underlying human health. It is supported by the Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK, the Wellcome Trust, University College London, Imperial College London and King's College London.

You will support the analytical informatics activities associated with a state-of-the-art Metabolomics facility. This will involve programming, complex data processing, statistical analysis and the development of new experimental designs and analytical tools. Opportunities for independent and team-oriented research will be provided.REQUIREMENTS
Experience with workflows involving mass spectrometry metabolomics data and a background in metabolism are desirable but not essential. You should have a PhD (or be in the final stages of completion) in an area related to bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, mass spectrometry or analytical chemistry.LOCALE
