    Opportunity: Bioinformatics Scientist @ Enzymatics -- Boulder, CO (US)

    BACKGROUND

    Join a dynamic team of bioinformaticians and software developers that are creating an advanced cancer diagnostics platform based on next-generation sequencing technologies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    We employ the latest web-based development technologies, using primarily Python and Django, and the Agile Scrum software development framework to quickly respond to customers' demands. The team also supports R&D activities by providing bioinformatics expertise and analysis services.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • MS/PhD in bioinformatics or related discipline or equivalent industry experience
    • Demonstrated experience in genomics and bioinformatics
    • 2-5 years experience with next-gen sequencing data analysis
    o Experience with transcriptome data analysis
    o Experience with Ion Torrent and/or MiSeq data analysis
    o Experience with primer design a plus
    • Proficient in Python, Django and statistical computing using the Agile Scrum framework
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with scientists, software engineers and collaborators
