    Senior Scientist (Ph.D./equivalent) with expertise in molecular & cellular biology techniques to join a group developing the use of antisense technology for functional genomics and therapeutic applications in the fields of inflammation. Qualified applicants will have experience with contemporary methods of both mRNA & protein statement analysis as well as the development of in vitro bio-assays. Candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team responsible for defining the function of novel gene products and validating novel genes as potential drug targets; have experience, and an interest, in signal transduction.

DDT

It has come to my attention that DDT is being considered as a treatment for AIDS in Brazil. Have we missed something? Does DDT have any redeeming qualities? Can DDT raise cellular Ph without harming the individual? The results, provided they are good, if this unique treatment takes place, could wind up with very long reach.
