    SUMMARY

    Medical Science & Computing is currently searching for a Biomedical Information Specialist to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a full-time position with MSC located in Arlington VA.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The position will be responsible for supporting a large terminology effort and includes interaction with multidisciplinary biomedical professionals. The position reports to the Project Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Assist in overall project support, administration and management
    • Prepare and give presentations to high level experienced medical, research, and management professionals
    • Provide subject matter expertise for the development and modeling of clinical and research terminology
    • Create documents, presentations and other materials related to biomedical content development projects
    • Perform scientific literature searches to extract relevant biomedical concepts
    • Create terminology concepts using software tools in a database environment

    REQUIREMENTS

    • PhD
    • Exceptional oral and written English language skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
    • Computer proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Word, Outlook
    • Ability to learn and work with editing software tools
    • Experienced presenter/speaker

    PREFERENCES

    • Oncology experience desirable
    • Medical Informatics and/or Medical Terminology experience preferred
    • Knowledge or experience with clinical trials
    • Experience with web conferencing tools
