    OMNITEC Solutions, Inc. (https://www.omnitecinc.com) has a mid-level employment opportunity supporting our newly awarded 3 year contract.

    We seek a Scientific Data Analyst to join our team where we are leading the effort to make all research data available through a common portal at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). See http://ndar.nih.gov to gain an understanding of the project size and scope.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Using your scientific background and data management skills, you will help organize large, complex data sets to make them broadly available to scientific community.
    • This will help scientists utilize computational cloud resources to analyze genomics, imaging, clinical, EEG and eye tracking data.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Required Skills:
    • A degree in life sciences, bioinformatics, or related field is required. Experience with genomics and imaging data (e.g. MRI, nextgen sequencing), data management concepts/curation is a plus.
    • The successful candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes past work performance and/or assignments requiring active interaction with Researchers, Analysts, other technical staff, and end users.
    • US Citizenship and the ability to pass a background investigation/MBI are also required.

    PREFERENCES

    Additional Helpful Skills:
    • Relevant advanced degrees are helpful.
