BACKGROUND
The Bao lab at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is looking for a postdoctoral fellow in the area of image analysis and computational biology. We have recently embarked on a long-term project to produce a 4D atlas of how the nervous system wires in C. elegans, the first of its kind for metazoan development. Technically our approach involves 3D time-lapse imaging of embryogenesis based on fluorescent markers of cells, and image analysis to trace cell shape and axon outgrowth over timePREFERENCES
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to drive algorithm and software development for the image analysis. Additional areas of interest also include 4D visualization and human interaction with the complex data (images, shape models and annotation of biological knowledge).COMPENSATION
MSKCC provides strong support for postdoctoral fellows and their families, including competitive salary, housing, childcare and others (http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/70849.cfm).HOW TO APPLY
Please email cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to baoz[at]mskcc.org.
