BACKGROUND
We are looking for a highly motivated computational biologist/bioinformatician with a strong desire to perform interdisciplinary studies of carcinogenesis, linking cancer genomics with basic mechanistic investigations of cancer biology and translational studies of targeted therapeutics. The position will be focused on computational analyses of next generation sequencing data, including read mapping, data visualization, and statistical analyses. Our research groups have a particular interest in the study of non-coding RNAs and in applying computational approaches for the analysis of integrative large-scale `omic data sets (genome, transcriptome, epigenome, proteome) and high-throughput DNA/RNA protein interaction data-sets (e.g. CHiP-Seq,CLiP-Seq) to better understand mechanisms of carcinogesis. The research will be carried out under the supervision of Drs. Pier Paolo Pandolfi and Andrew Beck.

Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. with a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, genomics, and prior experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data. A background in cancer biology is a strong plus. Prior experience with R/Bioconductor and familiarity with Unix/Linux operating system is required.HOW TO APPLY
