    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Summary:
    You'll be working on our expanding our platform capabilities to better serve our customer facing web applications that deliver pioneering services to clinicians, physicians and patients.

    Our application stack typically looks like:
    Front end
    • HTML5
    • Backbone.js
    • D3.js
    Middle Tier
    • Groovy/Grails, Java
    Data Tier
    • MongoDB
    • Neo4J
    You'll be expected to contribute across all parts of the application, so a familiarity with the stack is a plus.

    REQUIREMENTS

    GenoSpace is looking for a full stack software engineer that doesn't pigeonhole themselves and is excited at the prospect of solving novel problems. We're looking for a generalist who's smart and gets things done. No prior experience is required in bioinformatics or life sciences but ample curiosity and a willingness to learn are a must. This position will report to the Director of Engineering.

    Essentials:
    • Develop effective solutions rapidly
    • Transform prototypes into high-quality, reliable and reusable platform components.
    • Foresee and test against potential functional and scalability problems
    • A self starter that uses good judgement in how best to apply their time effectively.
    Education and Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • Preferably 2 years experience in full software development lifecycle. Recent graduates with compelling project work will be considered.
