EXCERPT
Using sequence data and conventional epidemiological information, the team reconstructed 57 transmission events. In the outbreak's early stages, transmission occurred primarily within the same ward, the data show, which led to improved ward decontamination procedures.
Later in the outbreak, the researchers noted that infected patients made many visits to operating theaters, especially one specializing in the treatment of burn patients. That theater was closed and deep cleaned and was decontaminated with a chlorine-based disinfectant.SOURCE
