BACKGROUND

A postdoc position in protein design and structural biology is immediately available at the Yang Zhang Lab, Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics and Department of Biological Chemistry, University of Michigan. The project aims to computationally designing new protein sequences of novel function (enzyme activity, ligand-binding, protein interaction and metabolism pathway etc.) followed by wet-lab experimental validations.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates, who have interest in leading an independent structural biochemistry lab, with experience in computational protein design, DNA and protein engineering, X-ray crystallography, NMR, or protein-ligand binding assay, are encouraged to apply. Skills in computational programming are not required but will be a plus to the position. Only the creative individuals with ambition to develop a highly successful academic career are considered.
