Structural bioinformatics concepts and tools play a very important and still growing role in several areas of macromolecular crystallography, from structure solution and validation to structure analysis and structure-based drug design. This microsymposium aims at providing a snapshot of current research in SBI areas like: analysis and predictions of 3D structures of biomacromolecules, protein-protein interface studies, development of tools and data bases and their use in structural biology, SBI in rational drug design. In addition to the above topics, contributions in any SBI area relevant to macromolecular crystallography are welcome.

Abstract submission (for oral or poster presentation) is available at: http://ecm29.ecanews.org/participate/abstract-submission/ with deadline March 23.

The final program will encompass two 30-min talks from invited speakers, three 20-min talks chosen from the submitted abstracts, and poster presentations.
