    BACKGROUND

    The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a full time Clinical Research Core Manager. The new Clinical Research Core is a key initiative supporting the Johns Hopkins strategic priority of Biomedical Discovery and the advance and integration of discovery, innovation, translation, and dissemination of biomedical research. The Core will support clinical research, clinical research training, and patient safety and quality initiatives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    An innovative and experienced Epidemiologist/Biostatistician will lead the Core by establishing an efficient and responsive centralized service, oversee staff, and collaborate with faculty researchers to develop and enhance the function and research outcomes of the Core. The position will be responsible for the overall design, execution, and analysis of all research conducted under the oversight of the Core.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or related quantitative field required. PhD in epidemiology or statistics strongly preferred. Three years related experience required. Excellent theoretical knowledge and outstanding ability to apply statistical approaches to a broad range of observational studies and clinical trials required. Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities preferred. Demonstrated ability on a significant project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU Equivalency Formula.
