Michael Crick, the son of Francis Crick, contacted me yesterday about 22 sculptures of the DNA double helix being auctioned by Christies. One of the sculptures was made by his daughter, and the proceeds will benefit the Francis Crick Institute in London. He suggested that it would make a nice display for the lobby or public area of a life sciences business or institute.

The auction runs Oct 1-13. Estimated final price $5,000-$50,000.
