    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Process and manipulate large genomic sequence data for clinical genomic diagnostics.
    • Perform bioinformatics analyses of data produced by massively parallel next generation sequencing.
    • Develop and use computational tools to analyze large datasets.
    • Support NGS pipeline development and automation.
    • Conduct data mining over internally produced and publicly available data sets.
    • Help organize and maintain internal databases.
    • Collaborate with scientists.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • MS/PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field; Multidisciplinary experience preferred.
    • 2-3 years of computational biology/bioinformatics experience preferred.
    • Experience in biological sequence analysis and analysis of next-generation sequencing data
    • Experience in cancer research and/or NGS variant calling methods is highly desired.
    • Knowledge of human genetics, statistics, algorithms and exploratory data analyses
    • Fluency in programming and scripting languages is desired.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    PREFERENCES

    The ideal candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment and be able to provide evidence of relevant expertise in the form of, software and application development, scientific publications, and previous experience in the field.
