Third Annual Meeting (3AM) to be held at the O'Reilly BTC
Submitted by J.W. Bizzaro; posted on Wednesday, August 28, 2002

Each year, members of Bioinformatics.Org get the opportunity to meet in person, at the Annual Meeting. The First Annual Meeting (1AM) was held in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001, as a satellite event to ISMB. The Second was held in Tucson, Arizona in 2002, as a track of the O'Reilly Bioinformatics Technology Conference.

We very much enjoyed being at the O'Reilly BTC, knowing that fans of the O'Reilly & Associates books are advocates of Open Source Software and of a kindred spirit. So, it is with great pleasure that we announce the return of our Annual Meeting to the O'Reilly BTC.

This year, O'Reilly is holding the event in San Diego, California. And, again, we will have a special track at the conference. Talks will be by members who are administrators of projects hosted at Bioinformatics.Org (reminder to project admins: proposal deadline is September 27). We will also present the 2003 Benjamin Franklin Award there.
