    The first edition of the two day event "Applied Bioinformatics in Life Sciences", organized by the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology (VIB), will focus on recent developments in the field of bioinformatics and highlight the power of bioinformatics in the fields of medical, agricultural, and biotechnology research. Renowned speakers will provide a broad view on the application of bioinformatics in life sciences, and its future perspectives. 18 academic speakers confirmed including: Matthias Mann, MPI, DE; Luis Serrano, CRG, ES; Peer Bork, EMBL, DE; Nuria Lopez-Bigas, UPF, ES and Eran Segal, Weizmann Institute, IL.

    Abstract submission deadline: January 4th 2016

    VIB encourages young researchers to showcase their own research to the international research community during the poster sessions at the conference. The best abstracts will be selected for a presentation! Abstract can be uploaded via the conference website.
