BACKGROUND
The Division of Biomedical Statistics and Informatics at Mayo Clinic is seeking applications for faculty positions in bioinformatics with collaborative experience. Mayo Clinic is an integrated, multidisciplinary academic medical center with comprehensive programs in medical education and research that span across three campuses: Minnesota, Florida and Arizona. These positions may be located at any of the three campuses. We support a vibrant and diverse research enterprise, with programs in basic, translational, clinical and population sciences. Mayo has world-class faculty, laboratories, and state of the art core facilities and biorepositories.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidates will be responsible for leading the bioinformatics component of multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with colleagues to advance bioinformatics in healthcare transformation and precision medicine.
REQUIREMENTS

A PhD in bioinformatics or a closely related field

At least one year post graduate experience

Demonstrated collaborative research success

Experience with RNA sequencing, whole genome sequencing or systems biology

Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals as first or senior author

Leadership experience with evidence of delegating to team members

Experience presenting research at national or international forums

Flexibility, creativity and excellent communication skills
