    Opportunity: Senior Computational Biologist @ Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute -- Manchester, UK

    BACKGROUND

    About the role:
    We are currently looking for a Senior Computational Biologist to provide support for the CRUK Manchester Institute Computational Biology services. You will work with a range of proteomics and genomics data generated by our on-site facilities, as well as publically available databases. You will be wholly responsible for the processing, analysis and user report delivery of all tandem mass spectrometry datasets generated by our Biological Mass Spectrometry Core Facility on behalf of the research groups. A crucial element to the role is the ability to develop, validate, and critically assess bioinformatics analysis workflows and implement new technologies or techniques.

    REQUIREMENTS

    About you:
    You should have a degree in Computational Biology, Mathematics or related discipline plus significant relevant experience or a relevant postgraduate degree in a related discipline. You will have significant experience writing complex bodies of code and demonstrable experience analysing peptide tandem mass spectrometry data.

    TERMS & COMPENSATION

    Duration: Permanent
    Salary in the range of £28,000 - £36,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
