    BACKGROUND

    The Department of Microbiology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Researcher to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist the Jouline lab as a computational molecular biophysicist; use computational structural biology and evolutionary approaches to study signal transduction by receptors and kinases from bacteria to humans; Primary focus on using molecular dynamics simulations and other computational techniques to study protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions in signal transduction; assist with writing publications; present at conferences; mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Doctoral degree in biophysics; strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

    PREFERENCES

    Desired Major: Structural Biology; excellent knowledge of MD (NAMD and/or similar codes) and structural biology/modeling environments (VMD, MODELLER) and strong programming skills.

    Columbus, OH

    COMPENSATION

    $48,000 - $53,000 (commensurate with experience)
