BACKGROUND

Two full-time positions (Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate) are available in the areas of metabolomics, transcriptomics, microbiomics and/or their integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidates will be involved in several large-scale projects to help a) process different omics data (RNAseq, metabolomics, microbiome); b) develop better algorithms and visualization methods for improved data understanding; c) develop cloud/web-based platforms to enable large-scale applications.

REQUIREMENTS

The candidates are expected to have a MSc or PhD degree with training and experience in at least one of the following areas: 1) Next-generation sequencing analysis (RNAseq, microbiome); 2) High-resolution MS-based metabolomics data analysis; 3) Proficiency in R for statistics and data visualization; 4) Web/Cloud technologies (Galaxy, J2EE/JSF, HTML5, JQuery); 5) Development of databases (MySQL, MangoDB).

TERMS

Initial 6-month contract, with strong possibilities to extend up to 3 years

COMPENSATION

Starting salary $50,000/year plus benefits
