    We are currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher with an interest in the application of molecular phylogenetic methods to problems in comparative and functional genomics. The position is supported by a recent five-year award from the NSF Plant Genome Program. The primary focus of the position will be to study the evolution of functional motifs among orthologous and paralogous lineages within gene families. Independent research is also encouraged. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the development of a plant comparative genomics database and participating in educational outreach. The successful applicant will have a strong track record in computational genetics and molecular evolution.
