BACKGROUND
The Medical University of Vienna organises an open PhD call twice a year and invites applications for all currently open Ph.D. positions within its 18 Ph.D. programmes. We encourage ambitious and creative young scientists from all fields to develop their original research projects with the support of our renowned and international scientists. We offer fully funded PhD positions in one of the most liveable cities in the world – Vienna. Our university is a leader in translational science and has an excellent infrastructure to research, grow and develop. And last but not least, our university is home to a dynamic international research community. Austria as a research location also offers young scientists many opportunities after graduation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research in the areas of Human-Centered Technologies and AI for Machine Learning and Imaging. Contribution to interdisciplinary projects/research.
REQUIREMENTS
We looking for applicants who hold an academic degree Master/BSc.hon)from all areas of computer science and/or bioinformatics and have a strong interest in interdisciplinary projects and collaborations to medical/immunology groups. Other requirements: High level of English and good communication skills; effective team working.
TERMS
The positions will be limited to one year, an extension is possible(for the duration of the dissertation project).
COMPENSATION
Payment will be based on the Collective Agreement for the University employees or FWF salary agreement for PhD students for 30hrs/week.
