BACKGROUND
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic postdoc for a three year position to commence 1 January 2024. The focus is on bioinformatics and data science to develop machine learning and graph algorithm-based tools to integrate, analyse and correlate genomic and eDNA data with geographic and environmental data.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with the following competencies and experience:
Essential experience and skills:- You have a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., computational biology, bioinformatics, data science).
- You have proficiency in knowledge graphs, TypeDB, Neo4j, or similar technologies.
- You have strong proficiency in UNIX operating systems.
- Proficient communication skills and ability to work in teams
- Excellent English skills written and spoken
PREFERENCES
Desirable experience and skills:
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:- Python programming experience
- Expertise in genome or environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis
- Experience in machine learning techniques
- Proficiency in developing bioinformatics pipelines
