    We are seeking a Scientific Software Engineer/ Programmer to join our Development team who are developing a microparticle-based bio-analytical platform. The responsibilities of the position will include:

    Design, development and validation of Software for the acquisition and analysis of data for Instrumentation.

    Must be able to solve scientific problems with mathematical modeling.
    Candidates with a background in applied mathematics, physics or other quantitative science are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience with digital analysis of images is desirable. Salary commensurate with experience.

    Job Requirements:
    Programming and data analysis support for Assay Application Development
    Programming and data analysis support for microparticle encoding and decoding associated with the Development project.
    Work closely with internal assay development and system integration functions.
    Work closely with external hardware and software collaborator(s).
    Participate in project team(s) contributing to our client's Product development projects.

    Position Requirements: The successful applicant will have experience in Scientific Software programming for the Microsoft Windows environment using the Microsoft.NET development tools (experience with C# and C++ is preferred, but will also consider candidates with experience in Java and/or Visual Basic.NET), and will have experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000. He/she will be capable of working independently and produce functional programs of high quality. Experience working successfully in a cross-functional team environment while following a solid software development lifecycle management process is necessary. Clear technical communication skills, both oral and written, will be required.

    The job is located in the Bay Area.
