Opportunity: BIOINFORMATICS Research Associate--University of Kansas

Bioinformatics Research Associate at the University of Kansas: We are seeking an individual to participate in a growing bioinformatics program at KU. This program will grow through multiple hires over the next three years.
The successful candidate will develop a strong bioinformatics research program, collaborate with a diverse research community and contribute to an emerging interdisciplinary educational program in bioinformatics. Expectations include numerous collaborations with faculty on research objectives that apply bioinformatics to answer fundamental biological questions. The appointment will be at the research associate level (competitive salary commensurate with experience).
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in biology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, evolutionary or systematics biology, or related fields, and demonstrated experience in computer science; will consider M.S. with very good relevant experience. Candidates should have research interests in the application of bioinformatics techniques to life sciences, genomics, proteomics, microarrays, molecular structure and function, or database mining.
