    Primary Responsibilities:
    Manage the development, maintenance, enhancement and integration of all informatics infrastructure that will support the on-going research and operations at this stable bay area biopharmaceutical company. This position will be responsible for surveying the company's scientific and administrative needs and preparing an implementation plan based on current and future needs. The position will strive to identify integration points for all relational databases. The position will closely interact with the NJ-based operations to communicate strategies, system infrastructure, desktop and scientific applications ass well as manage the group responsible for the creation and implementation of all databases. The position must successfully prioritize and focus the group's efforts as well as take a hands-on role in implementing data management solutions. The position will also assume responsibility for CFR Part 11 site coordinator.

    Qualifications:
    BS (minimum) in computer science or human sciences such as biology (or combination there of) . The successful candidate should have 10 years experience in the context of a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other research-based company.
    • Must have working knowledge of R&D operations
    • Must have demonstrated experience in project management
    • Must be versed in multiple software applications/platforms and systems infrastructures
    • Must have excellent communication skills and will have to work very closely with the scientific staff at the Bay Area location as well as with colleagues at our NJ location
    • Prefer familiarity with o/s, scientific applications (desktop and client-server), relational databases, as well as UNIX and Windows development environments
