    Major Responsibilities (duties/tasks):
    • Work on a wide range of moderate to difficult problems of diverse scope where statistical analysis requiring evaluation of indentifiable factors and technical solutions.
    • Exercise judgment with generally defined practices and policies in selecting statistical methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
    • Provide statistical input for protocol and statistical analysis plan development.
    • Normally receives minimal instructions on completion of assigned routine projects and general instructions on new assignments.
    • May serve as core project team member to coordinate and manage all statistical activities on a project.
    • May supervise technical aspects of Statistician and support staff activities.
    • May provide statistical liaison with client.
    • Provide technical direction to programmers and data coordinators during production and review of computer generated tables and listings for summary reports.
    • Review computer-generated tables and listings for summary reports.
    • Review computer-generated tables to verify accuracy and assure compliance with analysis plan.
    • Stays current with development of statistical methodology and computer software.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Understanding of the pharmaceutical development and NDA process.
    • Proficiency in a broad range of basic applied statistics applications.
    • Proficiency in word processing.
    Minimum Qualifications for Consideration (education):
    Required:
    • BA/BS or MA/MS or Ph.D. in statistics or related field.
    • Minimum 3 (Ph.D.) or 5(MS or BA) years experience as a statistician in pharmaceutical development or other health related field.
    Working Conditions (i.e., normal office environment OR may be exposed to a noisy area):
    • Normal office environment.
