Opportunity: Director of Operations--Pacific Northwest

A dynamic, growing independent IRB located in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Director of Operations. As a member of the executive management team, the Director will be expected to contribute to the strategic planning process, represent the company at industry events, collaborate in the development of internal/external guidance documents (to include web content) and represent Operations in the development and implementation of new technologies. Mission critical responsibilities also include creating and developing specialized work teams, ensuring operational consistency across work teams, establishing and implementing productivity and quality standards, along with the myriad of processes and functions related to pre/post IRB meeting work. The Director of Operations supervises five Team Leaders who in turn direct a staff of forty.
Qualifications: The successful candidate is a team-oriented, results driven individual who has a record of leading, mentoring and motivating others. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills an absolute requirement - with technical writing skills an added plus. Strong technical background required with working knowledge of clinical database systems and related web enhancements. Proficiency in process mapping/improvement are essential for our profiled executive with exposure to ?balanced score card? initiatives a plus. Eight to ten years of progressive management experience with an additional three years of IRB experience is preferred. B.A./B.S. degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and direct industry related work experience.
