DESCRIPTION

A senior bioinformaticist is required at Rothamsted Research to initiate and lead cutting edge approaches to the integration of information from genomic technologies (sequence data, transcriptomes, proteomics, metabolomics, phenomics) in order to understand the dynamics of biological systems of relevance to crop production and utilisation. The appointee will be expected to interact with current research programmes (notably on Arabidopsis, wheat and wheat pathogens) and with the newly established National Plant and Microbial Metabolomics Centre at Rothamsted Research. In addition, the establishment by the appointee of an innovative research programme in an area within the broad remit of the Institute is an essential component of this post.
