    DESCRIPTION

    A European Framework Program 6-funded postdoctoral position is available from March 2004 for up to three years to study variations in the 3? UTR of genes in mammalian genomes at the INSERM ERM206 laboratory in Marseille, France (tagc.univ-mrs.fr). The appointee will apply bioinformatics tools to identify variant transcripts, assess their function and discover associated regulatory motifs.
    Applicants should have a strong background in bioinformatics with experience in genome annotation, motif search, and/or comparative genomics. We also expect experience in developing efficient algorithms as well as in designing complex software for molecular biology applications. The applicant should possess independent research experience and corresponding publications in one of the above-mentioned or related fields.
