The Department of Biomedical Informatics at the Ohio State University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. We seek researchers in the areas of
· Databases and data-intensive computing
· Computer Vision
· Semantic Web and knowledge integration systems
· High-performance and Grid computing systems
· Bioinformatics
The Department of Biomedical Informatics is committed to support the research and development of cutting-edge technologies with innovative applications in science and basic and translational biomedical research.REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates with excellent research records and commitment to perform applications driven computer science research. Candidates should have or be about to obtain a PhD degree in computer science or a related discipline. Candidates with interdisciplinary research interests are particularly encouraged to apply. The Biomedical Informatics faculty consists of a diverse group of researchers and educators in bioinformatics, biomedicine, and computer science areas. Successful applicants will be expected to initiate and carry out independent research, publish in prestigious journals and conferences, build a research group, and actively participate in on-going research projects. Depending on faculty interests, joint appointments can be arranged with the Ohio Supercomputer Center and/or with the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center.HOW TO APPLY
