Scionics Computer Innovation is a young company that focuses on the organization, analysis, and presentation of research results. We are located in Dresden, Germany, and work in close contact with the local research community and especially with the newly founded Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG).
We have an open position within our Bioinformatics Unit for a Assistant Bioinformatician / Programmer.
REQUIREMENTS
To fill this position we are looking for an enthusiastic computer programmer or biologist with:
A reasonable knowledge of basic biological concepts
A sound knowledge of programming
At least basic UNIX/Linux skills
PERL and Python scripting knowledge a plus
Familiarity with search algorithms
Willingness to work in an international environment
Scientific publications are a plus but not required.
Location: Dresden, Germany
