COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGIST-Cambridge, MA

DESCRIPTION

Work closely as part of a team and research, implement, and apply algorithms for assembling whole-genome shotgun sequence data. Work includes the development of novel algorithms in C++, rapid prototyping on real data, robust implementation and maintenance of shared codebase, assembly of genomes, interaction with laboratory personnel, and preparation of written reports for internal use and publication.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. in mathematics, computer science, computational biology, or related field. Must be excited about learning and working on computational biology problems in a stimulating and intense environment. Excellent communication skills required. Must be capable of self-directed research within the broader goals set by the group.
