SUMMARY

This position is for a writer who will be responsible for creating and updating documentation for systems biology and bioinformatics products. The documentation will be available in printed, PDF, and online formats.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The writer will work closely with the systems biology and computational biology development teams to research, plan, write, and update user documentation.

In addition, the writer will participate with the development teams in the planning, specification, and testing phases of the products.

The writer will also work with the Documentation group to develop online documentation, coordinate documentation projects, and contribute to projects to improve the effectiveness of the documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or mathematics. A Masters or Doctorate degree is preferred with knowledge of molecular biology and biochemical concepts. Technical writer with 3+ years experience writing for a science or engineering audience.

Pluses:
Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink, experience with HTML-based online documentation, and a math background including statistics and differential equations.
