BACKGROUND:
The LUC is a small young vibrant university located in Diepenbeek, Belgium. at LUC we are launching a new institution-wide research initiative in bioinformatics. the present open position is part of that initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting research in bioinformatics, within the LUC Theoretical Computer Science group.

REQUIREMENTS

PhD in computer science or bioinformatics

TERMS

3-years position starting as soon as possible; beginning of 2005 at the latest. it is easiest if you are from the EU, as non-EU people might have trouble obtaining work permits etc.

COMPENSATION

The salary is the standard post-doc salary for government employees, and is quite good, starting from around 42000 euros per year (before taxes). salary scale takes into account past years of research experience. full social security package included.
