DESCRIPTION

The Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is seeking a Director of Cancer Informatics for its? Translational Research and IT Departments. The Director will provide leadership and operational management for the Informatics support team. This team is responsible for needs assessment, implementation and ongoing support of clinical applications, research databases and registries used in the Institute to support cancer research, clinical trials, outcome analysis and novel technologies for improvement of patient care. Must be able to analyze and assess workflow in healthcare, research and educational programs and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant must possess a Master?s degree and six years of full-time experience in computer technologies and modern programming, relational database structures and data mining techniques; a MD/Ph.D. is preferred.
