The Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL) is the leading industrial health and safety research facility in the UK. Our new purpose built laboratory opens in November 2004. Working in a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, our aim is to improve the health and safety of working life.

Further success for the Epidemiology and Statistics Section (ESS) within HSL has meant that two exciting opportunities for numerate specialists to join this pivotal team are available. You can expect to work on a diverse portfolio of projects within the occupational health and safety sector. Involved in all stages of ongoing epidemiological and statistical work, you will also be expected to develop new ideas and develop the status of the Section.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have a good first degree in a numerate subject with a minimum of two or four years? experience of epidemiological and statistical analyses, depending on the level of the appointment. Experience of working as part of a team is also important. In return you will work with technical specialists across many disciplines and you can expect to develop your numerical and project management skills while contributing directly to improving the lives of working people.
