    DESCRIPTION

    Programming support for genome-based efforts

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duties of the position will include development of genomic analysis tools, data interpretation, participation in the design and development of new databases and scientific software, and the implementation of third-party software for biological analysis.

    REQUIREMENTS

    To be qualified for this position, we ask that you have at least 5 years of programming experience programming in C and/or UNIX administration. You should have a minimum of 3 years programming in Perl and Java, as well as experience in cluster computing.

    Programming support on bioinformatics and genomics projects is preferred as is familiarity with bioinformatics databases and tools to include UCSC genome browser, BLAST, Ensembl, etc.
