    Faculty Appointment, Department of Biostatistics
    The City of Hope, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking an experienced clinical trials statistician to join the Department of Biostatistics, and provide statistical leadership to a prominent research program in Hematology and Bone-Marrow/Stem-Cell Transplantation. The position involves collaboration in clinical trials, grant proposals, as well as supervision of 3 MS-level statisticians and 1 Ph.D. statistician.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Applicants must have a doctorate in statistics, biostatistics or a related field, with a background in clinical trials and biomedical research, preferably in oncology. Five years of active clinical research experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as a strong record of collaborative research. An independent research program is highly desirable, preferably related to clinical trials or biomedical applications. Strong statistical computing skills are required, including familiarity with SAS, S, and clinical trial data operations.


    The City of Hope, located in the Southern California town of Duarte, 25 miles northeast of Los Angeles, is a non-profit institution conducting clinical and basic research in Cancer, Diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. An institutionally-funded tenure-track appointment is anticipated, with salary and rank commensurate with experience. City of Hope offers an excellent salary and benefits package. EEOE.
