    Education: Global Masters programme links UK and US centres of excellence

    ``The University of Manchester, UK, and the University of California, San Diego, (UCSD) have formed a unique international collaboration, the first in a planned series of bioscience ventures sponsored by the Worldwide Universities Network.

    ``Students on Manchester?s successful Masters level training programme in Bioinformatics will be benefit from the collaboration, which will lead to the opportunity to study Medicinal Chemistry modules provided by UCSD?s Extension division. These courses are taught by leading practitioners from the San Diego life science community.''
