RESPONSIBILITIES
? Provide expertise in computational biology and mathematics.
? Translate biological questions into a mathematical framework
? Apply the latest techniques in genomic signal process and pattern recognition to microarray expression data to solve focused questions
? Develop robust algorithms to address biological questions with limited data
? Develop scripts or programs to implement novel algorithms
? Help to build and maintain data processing infrastructure
? Must be able to work as part of a team in a rapidly changing environment, under tight deadlines.
? Discuss and present complex mathematical concepts with customers in clear and straightforward manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Ph.D. in engineering, mathematics, bioinformatics, or physics with proven experience in pattern recognition, classification, genomic signal processing, control theory, gene networks, network information and graph theory.
? Strong oral and written communication skills
? Experience working with microarray data
? Expert level programming skills
? Good publication record
? Excellent problem solving skills
