    JOB SUMMARY

    This position will develop, standardize, validate, and maintain statistical analysis programs and reporting tools in support of Lexicon's knockout, pre-clinical and clinical programs. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: developing and maintaining an automated system for the statistical analysis of data; performing statistical consulting and programming for preclinical, post - level I, and clinical development projects; documentation of statistical programs, analysis of datasets and outputs; statistical quality control and assurance; and other duties as assigned or required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Working experience with SAS including SAS Macro language, SAS/Base, SAS/STAT and SAS/Graph
    • Proficiency in creating statistical analysis programs using R, S-Plus, and SAS scripting languages
    • Experience in statistical methodology, software languages and computer systems
    • Minimum five (5) years biostatistical analysis experience in support of research and clinical drug development
    • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics or related discipline
