    DESCRIPTION

    Rosetta Biosoftware is looking for experienced Senior Java Developers for both full time and contract positions. As ideal candidate, you will be passionate about developing cutting-edge software applications for life science research. You will utilize your strong analytical skills to design and implement novel approaches to data analysis that make our customers more effective in their research. You will have an appreciation for the elegance of simplicity, and strive for making a difference in how we look at and interpret scientific data.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience working in a professional environment, using a formalized development process
    • Minimum 3 years of commercial software development using Java/Swing/JDBC
    • Strong experience in two out of the following areas: client-server technologies, implementation of scientific algorithms, database technologies, or advanced user interface design.
    • Advanced OO oriented skills in Windows and UNIX environments.
    • Bachelor of Science (or higher degree) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
