    DESCRIPTION, RESPONSIBILITIES, REQUIREMENTS

    The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for a position of tenure-track assistant professor of Bioinformatics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with experience in the design and mining of databases. The requirements for this position are a strong research background, excellent communication skills and an interest in teaching. The successful candidate will design databases, mine institutional and public databases, and conduct independent bioinformatics research. The Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics is developing its graduate curriculum, and the successful candidate will be expected to be involved in those educational activities.
