    BACKGROUND

    My client, large pharmaceutical company on the east coast, has a vacancy in their Pharmacovigilance area.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful candidate will lead and establish statistical collaboration in datamining activities. Work will involve high level statistical collaboration in the form of study design, statistical analysis, and data mining, report writing, publications, in-house and public presentations, developing in-house analysis tools and methods, and providing seminars on statistical concepts and methodology.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics/Biomathematics
    • 5-10 years experience in analyzing large datasets in collaboration with business area (pharmacovigilance preferred) and informatics.

    PREFERENCES

    The primary focus will be to provide statistical expertise and thinking in datamining for safety signal detection in post-marketing pharmacovigilance. The individual will also explore datamining opportunities in other collaborative areas such as genetic epidemiology and biomarker modeling/simulation.
