    PREP version 1.0 released
Submitted by Christopher Frenz; posted on Friday, July 08, 2005

The PREP program is a Perl script designed to allow the usage of regular expressions inside the title and abstract fields of Pubmed searches. The program outputs a HTML file that contains the abstract and citation information of all records that match the provided regular expression. The release version of the script includes a regular expression designed to match protein mutations, however, this expression can be easily modified to allow matching by any textual pattern that suits the need of the user.
