    Opportunity: Systems Quality & Compliance Test Engineer I, Clinical Research Informatics--TN (US)

    BACKGROUND

    St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a premier center for research and treatment of potentially fatal childhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, and immunodeficiency disorders. The hospital's mission is to find cures for children with catastrophic diseases through treatment and research.     Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Systems Quality and Compliance Test Engineer I.

    DESCRIPTION

    The Systems Quality and Compliance Test Engineer I requires the skills of an experienced and professional Software QA Tester with excellent written communication skills. This person will be responsible for Test Plans, Test Cases, Defects Reports, Tractability Matrix and other Software Quality Assurance documentation as required. Also, essential for this job is the ability to automate regression testing and maintain automated test scripts. The Software Quality and Compliance Test Engineer I is responsible for software quality assurance and regulatory compliance validation of applications supported by the Clinical Research Informatics (CRI) department of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This person will work closely with the Systems Quality and Compliance Test Engineer II to assure CRI supported computer systems are in compliance with internal hospital policies and external regulatory agencies which includes, but is not be limited to, Title 21 CFR Part 11. Will develop test scenarios and cases based on written requirements. Assists in designing, executing and documenting system test and validation plans in order to ensure the quality and integrity of all software applications supported by the CRI. Works with the Systems Quality and Compliance Test Engineer II for configuration and maintenance of all hardware and software necessary to support the day-to-day operations for all software testing and validation development efforts within the CRI in a consistent and controlled manner. Assists in the administration of all testing and validation software used within the CRI which includes the configuration and management of hardware and software as it relates to the development, test, certification, build, and production environments. Coordinates with Systems Quality and Compliance Engineer II to ensure consistency and compatibility of all testing and validation initiatives within the CRSR environment. Experience with Caliber, Quick Test and Test Director as well as knowledge of Title 21 CFR Part 11 are desired.

    REQUIREMENTS

    The successful candidate will have the following requirements:
    _ A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business-related area is required.
    • Understanding of systems quality assurance and software testing and validation principles is preferred.
    • Familiarity with the Software Engineering Institute and the Capability Maturity Model is preferred.
    • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in Information Technology is required.
    • Experience with Quick Test and Test Director, preferred. Database experience with SQL server and Oracle, preferred.
    • Experience developing and maintaining standard operating procedures is required.
    • Experience including technical instruction and/or familiarity with object-oriented design is preferred.
