A postdoctoral fellowship in bioinformatics/machine learning is available starting in October 2005 in the Computer Science Department (soon to be School of Computer Science and Informatics), at University College Dublin, Ireland, under the supervision of Dr. Gianluca Pollastri. The position is funded up to 2 years by Science Foundation Ireland, for research on protein structure prediction and modelling of protein folding mechanisms.

REQUIREMENTS

Ideal Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in a scientific/technical discipline, have solid knowledge of the fundamental elements of computer science and previous experience in the protein structure prediction field.
